Railway

Sibiu

Description : It comprises 23 standard gauge locomotives, 10 narrow gauge locomotives, 3 snow ploughs and 2 steam cranes. 7 of these locomotives are active and are used on a variety of special trains for enthusiasts and other groups. The locomotives shown here were built between 1885 and 1959 in Romania and other countries, like Germany (Henschel, Borsig, Schwartzkopff) and USA (Baldwin).

Mures

There are a couple of narrow railways scattered around the county, but in present they are not functional. There is a project for the rehabilitation of the Tirgu-Mures- Band- Mihesu de Campie railway which could offer a unique experience of an overview of the Mures countryside.

Covasna

Railroad tourism – can be practiced on the one of oldest railroad in the country, on the Anina – Oravita route.
